Cardiff Blues have won just one of their last five away games in all competitions: 17-6 against Munster in Cork in the RaboDirect PRO12 on 5 January. The Blues have lost on their last two visits to Scotland in all tournaments.
Edinburgh beat the Blues 21-19 at the Arms Park in round two and have not completed a league double over the Welshmen since season 2009/10.
